Peach County High School

Located in the heart of central Georgia, Peach County, our 159th county, was created from parts of Houston and Macon counties in 1924. Named for the area's abundant peach crop, Peach County is Georgia's newest and geographically one of the smallest counties (151 sq. miles) in Georgia. Fort Valley was established as a trading post in the early 1820's by James A. Everett and incorporated as a city in 1856. Byron, like many other towns, grew up around a railroad. The community was a flag-stop known as "Number One and One-Half Station." The town was incorporated in 1874 and named for Lord Byron, the English poet. The village of Powersville was first named Station One when the Southwestern Railroad was being built from Macon to Albany in 1852. Then its more suitable name was given in honor of Col. The ACCUPLACER test will be given on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 9:00 am.  All stidents interested in taking the test should report to the PCHS cafeteria.

PCHS NJROTC Cadets Earth Day 2017 Community Service

NJROTC Community Service

Cadets from PCHS NJROTC program performed over 4 hours of community service on Saturday, April 22 while participating in the Peach County Keep America Beautiful trash pickup campaign.  Over 15 NJROTC unit members and about 15 local community participants helped pick up trash and debris from 2 roadsides in Fort Valley on Earth Day.

2017 Engine Build Team

This is the 2017 Peach County High School Automotive Engine Build Team. They are sponsored by MSD Performance Products this season. The team qualified for nationals in their first ever competition build with a 30:46. Not pictured are alternates Donavan Clark and Trey Harper.


Peach Co. High School Band Students Perform in Prestigious Ensemble

PCHS Band

PCHS Band clarinetists Kamari Hardee and Sarah Choi were selected and performed with the 2017 GMEA Region All-Star Honor Band on Saturday, April 6 - 8 at Valdosta State University. Students are selected for the 2017 Region Honor

Band based upon their district & state level audition scores.  The Region All - Star Band consist of the top high school musicians from Central, South & Southeast Georgia.
