Peach County High School

Located in the heart of central Georgia, Peach County, our 159th county, was created from parts of Houston and Macon counties in 1924. Named for the area's abundant peach crop, Peach County is Georgia's newest and geographically one of the smallest counties (151 sq. miles) in Georgia. Fort Valley was established as a trading post in the early 1820's by James A. Everett and incorporated as a city in 1856. Byron, like many other towns, grew up around a railroad. The community was a flag-stop known as "Number One and One-Half Station." The town was incorporated in 1874 and named for Lord Byron, the English poet. The village of Powersville was first named Station One when the Southwestern Railroad was being built from Macon to Albany in 1852. Then its more suitable name was given in honor of Col. Virgil Powers, a civil engineer for the railroad. The most famous employer in Fort Valley, as well as one of the largest, is Blue Bird -- founded in 1927. The ... Read More...
Seamless Summer Seamless Summer Logo

The Peach County School Nutrition Program is proud to announce that we will be providing meals at no cost to children during the summer as part of the USDA Seamless Summer Food Service Program. This program provides meals at no cost to any child under the age of 18. There are no income requirements.

Summer meals will be served at Peach County High School, Monday through Thursday. Breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. and Lunch from 11:00
a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The program will run June 4th – June 28th 2018.

PCHS NJROTC Cadets Tour Savannah State University & USS Yorktown (CV-10

Twenty-four PCHS NJROTC cadets took a 2-day overnight orientation field trip to Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC to make a campus visit and tour of Savannah State University (SSU) on April 12th and a tour of the retired aircraft carrier USS Yorktown (CV-10) in Charleston on April 13th.  The cadets stayed at the Georgia Air National Guard 165th Airlift Wing lodging at Travis Field in Savannah for 2 nights.  On Thursday, the cadets were briefed on NROTC scholarships available at the SSU NROTC unit, observed the NROTC Spring Review ceremony, received a brief from the Admissions department and toured the SSU campus following lunch in the dining hall.  On Friday, the cadets traveled to Charleston and toured the USS Yorktown and other ships at Patriots Point Park.

PCHS Band clarinetists Kamari Hardee and Sarah Choi  were selected and performed with the 2018 GMEA Region All - Star Honor Band on Saturday, April 12 - 14 at Valdosta State University. Students are selected for the 2018 Region Honor Band based upon their district & state level audition scores.

Some supplies are necessary year after year, no matter what grade your child is in. When you're planning for upcoming school year, it's pretty safe to invest in the following school supplies:
