Congratulations to Mrs. Sheela Martin!! She was named the
Peach County Schools Teacher of the Year at the December 12th Board Meeting!! 

Mrs. Martin


Mrs. Martin, a native of Fort Valley, Georgia, is a 1986 graduate of Peach County High School.  She has a B.S. in Pure Mathematics from Fort Valley State University and an M.S. in Education from Walden University. At Fort Valley Middle School, Mrs. Martin teaches Advanced Content Mathematics to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. She is the Lead Teacher and serves on the Leadership Team.  She is the Data Team chairperson in addition to serving as the Data Analyst for PBIS.  Mrs. Martin is married to Navy Veteran, and friend of 40 years, Paul L. Martin of Miami, FL. She has one child, Aaron, who is a Chemical Scientist with U.S. Ecology.  She strives to support and encourage students in all endeavors as they prepare to become well-rounded, positive contributors to society. Keenon Solomon Successfully Launches His First Book!

FVMS Honors Dr. Virginia Dixon

Fort Valley Middle School honored Dr. Virginia Dixon on November 28 with the dedication of a Science Lab in her honor.  Dr. Dixon is a former principal at FVMS and former Peach County Board of Education Member.
