Technology is just a cool (or for the online generation, kewl) place to be these days. In an effort to raise the bar on IT support, we have implemented a new system called "Live Support" (from Bomgar). In addition to our Helpdesk and the resulting desktop technician visit, we can now provide instant support for helping with day-to-day application issues.
Not only does this provide better service, but it leverages the shared knowledge across the entire Technology department. Many issues don't need a hands-on technician to resolve and are more effective using a real-time (ie: remote desktop) support model. Teacher feedback has been encouraging.
