Hunt Elementary School News Team
Hunt Elementary School's News Team began this school year under the direction of Mrs.Yolanda Cummings. Mrs. Cummuings came up with the idea for a student lead news team at the end of the 2016-2017 school year. Mrs. Cummings discussed the idea with Dr. Mathis, and asked if she would be able to start a news team at H.E.S for the 2017-2018 school year. Dr. Mathis agreed that this would be an excellent idea. The H.E.S. News Team consists of eight 5th grade students. . Each morning they're responsible for reciting the pledge and reading all the happenings around Hunt. They rotate weekly with two of the team members being responsible for that week’s announcements. The News Team meets on Fridays to go over the upcoming week announcements and to select the two members who will be reading the weekly announcements for the following week.
