📌 General Announcements

As we finish our first six weeks of school, please keep these important items in mind:

Chromebook Use

Students are expected to use their school-issued Chromebooks for school-appropriate sites only. Unfortunately, we have seen an increase in students attempting to cheat on assignments, which undermines their learning. Cheating on assignments will result in a zero. The sites and activities are monitored both on and off campus. Inappropriate usage may result in disciplinary consequences.

Medication Policy

All medications must be brought in by a parent/guardian to the med tech. Students are not allowed to carry or self-administer medications.

Morning medications should be taken at home.

No pocketing or bringing medications to take at breakfast.

Both prescription and over-the-counter medications must be brought in the original container by a parent/guardian.

👉 Please call Nurse Smith if you have questions.

Attendance & Tardies

School begins promptly at 7:45 AM. Students not in class by then are marked tardy. Beginning October 1, tardies will be closely monitored. Saturday School, after-school detention, or ISS may be assigned if tardies become a pattern.

Language & Behavior

Students are expected to use school-appropriate language at all times, whether on campus, on the bus, or at any school-related event. Profanity in any area, including on the bus, is prohibited.

Progress Reports

Please sign and return your child’s progress report by tomorrow. A copy will be given back to you once it is returned.

8th Grade Field Trip

Our 8th grade students will attend a theatrical performance at the Macon Theatre. This aligns with new ELA standards requiring students to gain, evaluate, and present increasingly complex information and ideas through various forms of communication, including media.

Behavior expectations extend off campus as well—field trips are considered an extension of school, and any inappropriate behavior will result in administrative consequences.

Yearbooks

Pre-order your yearbook early and save! Yearbooks are $36 with a 10% discount for early purchase. Capture those precious memories before the price goes up! 👉 https://www.treering.com/purchase?PassCode=1017404039321401

Fall Pictures – September 29

Fall pictures will be taken on Monday, September 29. This will be the picture used for the yearbook, so please remind your child to come looking their best. More details will be sent soon.

⚽🏈 Upcoming Athletics & Spirit Events

Football: Our next game is Saturday, September 20 against Cirrus Academy at Ed Defore Stadium at 9:30 a.m. as we defend our 3-0 run.

Thank you for supporting our students and school community. It truly is One Team, One Dream!

Let’s keep the momentum going with strong grades, positive behavior, and good attendance as we continue throughout the semester.

With appreciation,
