FVMS guest speaker, Mr. Blaine Halvorson, spoke with Mr. Byrant's students about his career as a computer scientist at Robins Air Force Base. His insights and experiences enriched their understanding of the computer science field. The students enjoyed manipulating different computer parts and learning how they function.






Our FVMS Media Center received a generous donation presented by Mrs. Marla Sellers on behalf of the Balvaunuca Club of Perry Georgia! The Balvaunuca Club uses proceeds from its annual Mistletoe Market event to award various causes with donations. Our Media Center will use the funds to incentivize and promote reading through the Accelerated Reader program.


Peach County Schools 2025-26 Pre-K Registration is Now Open!
Registration for Peach County Pre-K will begin, Monday, February 24, 2025 and will end Friday, March 28, 2025.
There are 38 slots available at Byron Elementary. There are 20 slots available at Hunt Elementary School and 20 slots available at Kay Road Elementary School.
The slots will be filled using a lottery process. Completion of the registration process by March 28, 2025 does not guarantee your child a slot in a Pre-K class, but does guarantee that your child’s name will be entered in the lottery for a chance to earn a slot.
Parents will be notified by Friday, April 25, 2025.

Happy National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day to Sergeant James Perry! Thank you for the many ways you ensure that FVMS has a safe and productive environment for our staff and students.


Ms. Jonevia Walker's 6th-grade ELA students are laying the groundwork for their argumentative essay about how certain foods can become harmful to the body. They used annotation guides, highlighted textual evidence, and completed graphic organizers to arrange their thoughts.


FBLA visited Fort Valley State University's Fab Lab, where students engaged with advanced technology like 3D printers. This hands-on experience allowed them to explore practical applications in furniture and clothing design, providing valuable insights into the role of innovative tools in entrepreneurship and business development.




Congratulations to Wenddy Avila-Mancio and Mahetzy Milanez-Martinez for having their artwork featured in the 2025 Capitol Art Exhibit! Supporters of these talented artists are invited to attend the exhibition reception on Wednesday, March 12th, from 4:00 to 5:30 pm.

Students in Ms. LaChristi Hunter's 6th-grade Earth Science class conducted a lab on Earth's atmosphere with a STEM focus, demonstrating how the layers of the Earth are structured based on density.
