On September 5th, Byron Elementary School, Hunt Elementary School, Kay Road Elementary School, and Byron Middle School teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors, and administrators trained to use and maintain their newly renovated sensory rooms. A sensory room provides a calming environment for students through sensory tools and items. Sensory rooms offer therapeutic services for students in the school setting. Mr. Jay Perkins of Sensory Room Solutions provided the training and also designed each sensory room in its own unique way.
