Dr. Jesse Davis

"We are excited to welcome Dr. Jesse Davis as the next superintendent of Peach County Schools,” said Scott Hodges, Board Chairman. “His vision for student success, his passion for supporting educators, and his deep understanding of our community make him the right leader for this moment in our district. The Board is confident that Dr. Davis will provide steady, forward-thinking leadership as we continue working to deliver excellence for every student.”

Dr. Davis expressed appreciation for the opportunity to continue serving Peach County. “It is an honor to lead a district with such strong community pride and potential,” he said. “I look forward to building on our momentum and working together to ensure that every student in Peach County Schools has access to a high-quality education and every opportunity to succeed.”

Dr. Davis, a proud native of Pickens, South Carolina, is a 1997 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Interrelated Special Education, a Specialist’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University. In addition, Dr. Davis holds the credential of Principal Mentor, awarded by both the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the National Association of Elementary School Principals.

Dr. Davis began his educational career in Perry, Georgia, serving students with special needs and coaching athletics. Since 2003, he has excelled as a school-level administrator in a variety of leadership roles, including Assistant Principal of Instruction, Assistant Principal of Operations, Principal of Feagin Mill Middle School, and Principal of Peach County High School. His leadership journey continued as Assistant Superintendent for Peach County Schools. Before joining Peach County Schools, Dr. Davis proudly served the Bibb County School District as a principal supervisor for three years.
In 2013, Dr. Davis was recognized as Georgia’s National Distinguished Principal—a testament to his commitment to excellence and student success. Dr. Davis remains an active leader in the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL), where he is a past President and currently serves as a Federal Relations Director. He has completed GAEL’s Superintendent Professional Development Program in addition to numerous other leadership development courses designed for superintendents.
